Get Tough. Be Bold. And go bananas.

New York Fashion Week is over, London has just finished and now we are into the serious stuff. Milan and Paris fashion weeks are upon us, but here is a round up of the best of the season so far.

NYFW

White at Wang

Designer du jour, Alexander Wang, gave us white for Spring. Having presented us with an almost entirely black A/W collection, white reigned supreme on his catwalk this season, in the form of beautiful white sheer chiffons, smocking material and stiff canvas. I'm not sure I'll be taking him up on the painted hair trend though.

Seventies riviera glamour was the message at Marc Jacobs. And was beautifully executed in deep orange, red and pink tones, all set off by big, crimped hair, accompanied by wide brimmed headwear.

Burberry Prorsum's girl toughens up for Spring/Summer '11 with studded trenches, biker jackets (metallic and black) and skintight, leather trousers; it's time to shape up those pins, girls!

Sara Blomqvist is the ultimate Burberry girl in this stunning hybrid leather biker/trench coat. The Burberry Biker jacket is sure to be the new ultimate wardrobe staple, following on from Burberry's much coveted Aviator jackets from the A/W '10 collection.

Another trend Burberry embraced for SS '11 (and one which they executed perfectly) was fluoro. By using colour pops of acid green belts and bright turquoise and orange bags against classic trenches and the biker jacket, Burberry have produced the most wearable way to embrace neon for Spring.

London designers' did not shy away from fluoro and Christopher Kane and Jonathan Saunders created some beautiful examples.

CK, citing Princess Margaret as an inspiration, produced neon separates in lace, chiffon and leather.

Jonathan Saunders presented fluoro and neon within his signature printing techniques and again produced a beautifully wearable way to wear these difficult colours.

Miuccia Prada is the woman who always sets the tone for the season. And for Spring/Summer '11, she wants us to think BOLD.

Stripes, fluoros, deep orange shades, monkey prints, club-kid creepers...she wants us to mix it up and have fun.
